Accommodations

It is impossible to travel this far without staying at least one night or two in Kodiak. So why not plan out the itinerary, experience those one-in-a-lifetime adventures and enjoy our small community whose big on hospitality. Nightly and monthly rates are available.

Kodiak Adventures Reservation Desk has the schedule of the innkeepers and on a short notice can offer recommendations on who may have a vacancy.

Kodiak Adventures Downtown and in easy walking distance to everything, there are three motels providing a variety of amenities: restaurant, room service, kitchenettes. Only six miles from downtown and located at the airport, Kodiak has a very nice motel as well.

Kodiak Adventures We have over 37 bed and breakfast inns who offer the comforts of home with residents who share their ‘homes’ with you.  Depending on the size of the group, there are suites, apartments and private rooms to choose from. The amenities vary from self-serve breakfast to full breakfast, kitchenettes to full kitchens, internet/telephone/cable hookups. Location can range from accessibility to downtown, a walk along the shoreline, or view of the mountain range or surrounding bays and islands.  There are some B&Bs located down the road 10-25 miles away that offer accessibility to the fresh water lakes and streams, remote terrain for exploring.

Kodiak Adventures Vacation Rentals – like bed and breakfast inns, vacation rentals could be located within the private home of a resident or it could be a home vacated in the summer or winter by the owner and used as a rental during their absence.

Wilderness Lodges

Accessible by boat or aircraft, lodges are in remote places on Kodiak and surrounding islands.  Self-contained with all the pleasures in life, lodge owners find ways to expound on hospitality for their guests.  Offering all-inclusive packages for 3-7 nights or more, guests will find plenty of home-style meals, outdoor events to fill any explorers’ activity card, and never a shortage of fishing, kayaking, hiking, bear viewing, flora and fauna, and photo opportunities to fill a lifetime.

Individuals thinking of visiting a lodge for the day must call ahead as not everyone opens their doors to ‘day trippers’.  On the most part, lodges are exclusive and private to their week-long guests.   There are some lodge owners who welcome visitors as they may be in-between reservations and welcome ‘staying busy’ with those who want to charter a fishing boat for a day or explore the hiking trails.

Kodiak Adventures Reservation Desk can assist you in making reservations for a day or weeks’ lodging at a wilderness lodge.
